Ed Odowd's 1968 Cougar GTE
One of 357 "W" code 427 Cougar GTE's built in 1968, this Candyapple Red cat is
owned by Ed Odowd of Warwick, Rhode Island. It's 3-year restoration was completed
in 2005 by by Matt Shuman. The goal was to keep the car as stock as possible,
with the exception of the wheels, tires and a 2 1/4" exhaust. The W code GT-E
is powered by a 427 with CJ cylinder heads and exhaust manifolds, C6 Automatic
Transmission, 3:50 geared 9" rear end with a Detroit Locker. Factory options
are Head Rests, Tilt Swing-Away Steering Wheel, AM 8-Track Stereo, In-Dash Clock,
Tinted Windows, Vinyl Top, Remote Door Mirror and Rear Defogger. It was found in
