Noted Thunderbolt historian Dennis Kolodziej owns a pair of Thunderbolts. His recently restored Bob Ford car was one of several drag cars sponsored by the Dearborn dealership. It won an AHRA championship in 1964 at the hands of Ford team driver Len Richter. More photos can be found on the Thunderbolt.cc website. His blue T-bolt was originally campaigned by Georgia dealer Gilmer Ford as the "Strip Teaser." Dennis found it in the Detroit News classified ads in 1977, and has raced it ever since. Dennis has researched Thunderbolts for over 30 years, and recently launched the Thunderbolt Owners Association website. |
