Carl & Char Hirst sent in these great shots of their Fords over the years. Char began drag racing Ford's locally in 1965 at now closed Mid-America Raceway in Wentzville, MO. and retired from competition in 1995. Now they enjoy back road cruises in pursuit of good drag race/hot rod events in Hi-Po Pony's and TBird. The performance red 1999 35th anniversary limited edition 5-gear convertible has 23k miles, all original. The 2004 40th anniversary competition orange Mach 1 5-gear was a gift to themselves on their own 40th anniversary, their 19th new hi-po pony.
