"I have a submission for the Historic Ford Drag Cars portion of your website. I own Rick Auxier's (Sam's brother) 1970 Boss 429 Mustang that he raced in SS/C from 1971-74 then converted to 351C power for A/Super Modified from 1975-77. He won 4 NHRA national events in A/SM. The car was bracket raced by the second owner, Steve King of Mt. Airy, MD until 1990, when I bought it. I have put it back to its SS/C configuration with the Boss 429 engine. It has never been licensed for the street, and has less than 1500 original miles. It was featured in the January, 1972 issue of Rodder and Super Stock magazine ("Maryland Marvels", along with Sam's 71 Mustang SOHC Pro Stocker), the July 1975 issue of Super Stock and Drag Illustrated (feature article detailing the buildup into an A/SM racer and photo in article about Super Modified at the 1975 Gatornationals) and the October 1975 SS&DI, an article about Ricks 1st win in A/SM at the 1975 race at National Trail in OH."
